Little dancing allies... You feel stronger with them near...
Wisps are the group's tally system and the main factor that determines what Attachments are available to you, via the Attachment Grades! (More on that to the right!) These little fellows stack over time and do not deplete, and additionally are player-bound, being shared across all characters!
You can earn Wisps mainly through uploading art and participating in certain prompts in events! Below is both a list of counts for different aspects of a picture (and Writing!) along with some guidelines for how the system is handled.
- Base -
Sketch/Lineart: 1 Wisps
Coloring: 2 Wisps
- Character Elements-
Partial Body: +1 Wisps
Fullbody: +2 Wisps
- Polish -
Shading: 2 Wisps
Simple Background: 2 Wisps (Abstract is included.)
Detailed Background: 5 Wisps (Should include a background, midground, and foreground. Along with a good amount of detail!)
- Conditional -
Gift Bonus: +1 Wisps (For every character featured that is not owned by you!)
NPC Bonus: +1 Wisps (For every Official NPC featured!)
Official Flora/Fauna Bonus: +1 Wisps (For every creature/plant that officially exists in the group.)
Story Bonus: +1 Wisps (For every 100 words. You would need 200 to gain this bonus twice.)
Animations and Crafts: Are determined by Staff.
- The Base amount for Crafts is 5 Wisps. Staff may reward more depending on the effort shown!
- The Base amount for Animations is 5 Wisps, so long as at least 7 unique frames are present. Staff may reward more depending on the effort shown!
Collabs: All participants involved gain a +5 Wisps bonus + the submission's regular count, no need to split it! All participants MUST post the completed collab to their own accounts to gain any wisps, but only one person needs to submit this to the group. Make sure to have the proper credits in the description.
Roleplays: All participants involved gain a +5 Wisps bonus + the submission's regular count, no need to split it! All participants MUST post the completed collab to their own accounts to gain any wisps, but only one person needs to submit this to the group. Make sure to have the proper credits in the description.

Detailed Background
- You cannot count Wisps for the same submission more than once. The only exemptions to this rule are collabs and roleplays. However, each participant can only count it once for themselves.
- There is a soft cap of 1000 Wisps. You may choose to continue to count Wisps for your submissions after this point, but no Attachment will ever exceed 1000 Wisps.
- Wisps cannot be gifted or traded. While you can earn more Wisps through events or prompts, they must be earned by you! Your count is your own, personal achievement that can only grow bigger and bigger.
- If there is an issue (with your submission or your Wisp count) that needs to be fixed, to which the person refuses, we will have to void any further Wisps until it has been. While unfortunate, our tally system depends on trust and cooperation and we cannot tolerate abuse of it. Once things have been cleared, you'll be free to continue!
- To reiterate from earlier: Wisps stack over time, no group mechanic should have them deplete. They are bound to the player and are shared across all characters, you will never have to start over with any.
The group does not keep track of your Wisps. We trust our members to count their Wisps fairly and accurately. If you aren't sure about your count for a submission, you're more than free to ask in the discord server!
You may display your count in a number of ways, from the form of linking a personal tracker, displaying the amount gained / the total wisp count, or "showing your work". As long as we can clearly see the amount gained and the total amount you have, display this how you'd like!
Some examples go as follows:
+8/40 Wisps
+ 2 for Lineart
+ 3 for Coloring
+ 4 Wisps for Fullbody
+ 5 for Simple Background
Total Accumulated: 14
Total count: 53 Wisps
+ 12 Wisps

The reward for your efforts.
Coins are the in-game currency for Grave Of Willows. While Coins exist in-universe as a dominant currency, group mechanics take them a step further. You can earn Coins through Events and Prompts as of Phase 1, with more ways to be released in the future!
With Coins, you can buy a plethora of things-- from items to pets and mounts, when such things are released and available! As of Phase 1, there will not be many places to spend your coins. So we suggest you hang onto them for now!
Here are some things to keep in mind:
- As they are an in-game currency, unlike Wisps, Coins deplete once spent. Unfortunately, money does not grow on trees. Even in a fictional world.
- Coins can be gifted and traded. Help your friends! help the economy!
- While the group does have a place to track your Coins, we expect our members to alert us of any gains or losses in such. This can be done through DA's notes or through Discord. Proof is appreciated!
